Back in May 2025, the Independent Commission on Neighbourhoods (ICON) published its Green Paper – Delivering Neighbourhood Renewal: Proposal for Change. This paper brought together ICON’s research and consultation on effective neighbourhood initiatives that improve the outcome for communities.
As part of this Green Paper, ICON set out a set of recommendations for the Government and consulted with partners for insights on how these proposals could work in practice. At 3ni, we were excited about the opportunity to shape the Government’s approach to neighbourhoods and created our own response to ICON’s consultation. We’re sharing it now in the hope others can find helpful insights in our thoughts and continue the conversation.
